You can style the text based section list using a template.

Templates are stored in the /userdata folder in your FTP

The template that controls the way the sections are listed is :

template_sectionlist.htm

The stylesheet has been incorporated into the example template for easy reference. In practice you should move any style definitions to sitewise.css
