Q What is dpi and how does it affect printed documents?
 
A DPI (dots per inch) refers to the image resolution, the dots of ink or toner used to print your text and graphics. The more dots there are, the better and the sharper the image.

The resolution for print and web are different, photographs and graphics used for print need to be at least 300dpi, compared with 72dpi when used on the web.
